「久坐」傷大腦 罹患認知症風險高
喜歡長時間坐著不動的人要注意了，最新的研究認為「久坐」對大腦的傷害可能超出想像，嚴重的話會影響腦的記憶功能、罹患認知症風險高。專家建議民眾，平時要有意識地縮短坐著的時間，才能夠有效預防「阿茲海默症」或其他失智症。
根據日媒《HealthPress》報導，一項刊登於《PLOS ONE》期刊的研究報告指出，日常生活中長時間以「坐姿」進行活動的人，大腦某區負責形成新記憶的「皮質部位」有變薄的傾向，推測和將來罹患失智症有關聯性。
這項研究是由美國加州大學洛杉磯分校（UCLA）塞梅爾神經科學與人類行為研究所的Prabha Siddarth團隊所進行，研究結果認為「久坐」除了對心臟不好，更對大腦有不良影響。此外，以往認為運動不足可能是造成認知症的一項原因，但這次研究卻更進一步證實，相較於運動不足，「久坐」對大腦傷害更明顯。
實驗針對認知功能正常的男女共35人（45～75歳）進行，調查其日常的運動狀況，以及過去一週內每天平均「坐姿」的時間。之後再以核磁共振檢查其大腦中與「記憶形成」有關的部位，結果發現每天坐著時間愈長的人，其大腦中負責「記憶形成」的關鍵部位（內顳葉和小區域）的皮質較薄。研究者提醒，若此部位的皮質變薄，則中年以後認知功能降低、發生失智症的前兆風險高。
然而，並非「坐姿」都會傷害大腦，研究者表示，如果坐著從事能鍛鍊大腦的活動反而對預防失智症是有益的，例如，坐著寫數獨、或完成工作文書、電腦遊戲等。
