井垵凸角磁氣探知機防衛所 澎湖列歷史建築保存
澎湖日治時代所建的井垵凸角磁氣探知機防衛所軍事設施，曾見證二次大戰時期至國軍防禦要塞歷史過程，由於具有軍事文化地域風貌，澎湖縣政府文化局日前正式列為歷史享好禮團購熱門產品建築保存。
澎湖縣文化局長王國裕表示，井垵凸角磁氣探知機防衛所為日治時代的軍事設施，位在馬公市井垵里的百里營區內，構造、形式保存完整，見證二戰時期至國軍防禦要塞歷史過程。
王國裕表示，井垵凸角磁氣探知機防衛所為漿砌石造，RC拱頂建築，工法細緻，具建築技術史價值。構造、形式，表現出地域風貌，包括周邊的砌石護坡與圍牆，迄今保存完整，澎湖文資委員在今年5月底完成會勘後，一致認為極具軍事文化和地域建造物風貌價值，決定列為歷史建築保存。（中央社）
SHSAT「試驗測試」難倒華人優等生
紐約市八所特殊高中去年對入學考試(SHSAT)題型進行修訂，增設20道不計入總成績的「 試驗測試」(field test)。由於這些題目不會告訴考生哪些題目過難、甚至沒有正確答案，讓不少成績優異的華生考試時花了太多時間在無分題上，最後反而整場考試失利。愛加學院的主任陳建宏19日在教育資源展會中指出，面對新題型華生應加強自身心理素質訓練，並增強對作答時間的掌控力。
第三屆「從小學到大學教育展」由華人策劃協會、愛加學院、州眾議員白彼得(Peter Abbate)辦公室和市議員萬齊家(Carlos Menchaca)共同舉辦，邀請史岱文森高中校長康崔拉斯(Eric Contreras)等教育專業人士出席。陳建宏表示，多數華人家長關心的議題仍是特殊高中的申請。
自去年特殊高中對SHSAT題型首次大改後，給成績優秀的華裔考生帶了不小挑戰，陳建宏說，題型未改前，老師只要要求學生注意反覆檢查，將每道題目做對即可。他指出，雖然現在考試時間增長，但另增加20道不計入總成績「試驗測試」題目，考試時也不會向考生說明哪些題目為無分題。
陳建宏說，由於一些試驗題目過難，或是根本沒有答案，致使一些考生將時間都花在題目上，沒時間去鑽研記分的考題；也有學生因未答出題目而喪失信心，導致整個考試失利。他指出，華生的心理素質訓練要提升，並加強考生在答題時對時間的掌控力，克服這一不利因素。
雖然特殊高中教學成績斐然，但陳建宏指出，家長應為孩子留有「後路」，不要放棄普通高中的申請。他表示，許多華裔高中生一心只為申請特殊高中，忽略七年級的州考、平日成績以及出勤率；而填寫高中志願時與自身的實際情況不符，好高騖遠的結果最終只能通過學區分配學校，一些同學就讀學區分配的學校過遠，通勤就要一個多小時。
除了對特殊高中申請的諮詢外，許多家長還對大學申請感興趣。不過，陳建宏指出，一些華裔家長對申請大學仍有誤區，認為只要SAT成績高即可申請到頂尖大學。他說，SAT成績僅占大學申請考核的30%，還有60%要從老師推薦信、學生平日成績、實習或是參加公益活動進行評估。他建議，華裔學生除了關注成外，應積極參與課外活動。
